Why read me

Welcome! 欢迎你们! I’m a Filipino, a Tagalog-Bisaya from Manila, and am presently abroad. I always wanted to be an expat, and now that the opportunity’s here, I feel I’ll be an expat forever.

But you know what? The Philippines is an interesting place. I’m not ashamed of being a Filipino, it’s just that I don’t wanna be just a Filipino.

Thanks for reading my posts. I hope you do not feel you have wasted your time, but just to convince you to get hooked, here are some reasons why.

  • This is a commentary blog I created for a Philippine audience, to contribute to the social debate on the issues that matter: social issues like freedom of expression, art, customs; political issues; and some personal issues – but I give my honest position on things, and I promise not to be yet another whiny expat.
  • I’m cool with verbal profanity on my page. Just don’t insult other people or mindlessly calumniate them on the comments page. I hate that.
  • I’m very liberal, and that means I’m willing to listen to all you have to say.
  • I’m not going to see you online every day, and that means less notifs for you, which means I don’t annoy you so much.

Well, that’s about it. See you around! 再見!

  1. Hi Sir! 🙂 I visited yey! Though I don’t know where to start and how to because as you said this is a commentary blog. It’s a lot more than what I usually digest about certain events so I’ll read your posts one at a time. 🙂 Looking forward to learning more stuff from you. 🙂

    • Thanks! I hope you appreciate the content here.

I’m not following current events so much, and those events I choose to write on are off the beaten path. Meron ding mga poems dito, pero mga personal ko lang na kawirduhan iyon, hahaha 😀 .
